1992: Guangya School was formally founded in Dujiangyan city. It is the first private school in China.
1993: The State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs approved Guangya School to carry out the employment of foreign teachers. Only two schools were approved in China before 1994.
1994: Became one of three schools approved to carry out international courses by the State Board of Education.
1995: The IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization) accepted Guangya School as an IB World school.
2005: The IBO authorized Guangya School to offer a two-year IB Program. It is the first school authorized to carry out the IB Program in Western China.
2007: Guangya School was accredited by the University of Cambridge as a Cambridge International Center, registration number: CN566
2008: No one student got injured in the 5.12 Earthquake of Sichuan. The event of "Running Fan" got unanimous approval from total society.
2008: Guangya School at Luxehills International Community was founded.
2011: Guangya School was accredited by College Board in the US to offer AP (Advanced Placement) programs, registration number: 694351
