Guangya School

Guangya School is located in Dujiangyan City, which boasts one of the World's Cultural Heritage sites-Mount Qingcheng and the Dujiangyan Irrigation System. The school was founded in September 1992. It's known as the first private boarding school opened in Mainland China after 1949. The "Conversation of Visiting South of China," and "The 1992 Outline for Reform and Development of Education in China" which were published in 1993, and the "Private Education Promotion Law" published in 2003 chose Guangya School as one of the reference schools.

The school offers a rigorous, enriching, and universal education that encompasses the intellectual, physical, cultural, ethical, and philanthropic to prepare the students to take their place with ease in the international milieu and their own communities.

The school has been an IB World school since October 1995. In 2005, the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) authorized the school to offer a two-year IB Program (http://www.ibo.org). The school offers the International Baccalaureate or IB Middle Years Program and IB Diploma Program. The programs, from Grade 6 to Grade 12, cater to the needs of the citizens of Sichuan, diplomatic and consular corps, multi-national companies, and the expatriate community living in Chengdu.

In 2007, the school was accredited by the University of Cambridge as a Cambridge International Center in 2007, registration number: CN566 http://www.cie.org.uk

In 2011, the school was accredited by College Board in the US to offer AP (Advanced Placement) programs, registration number: 694351 http://www.collegeboard.org

In 2012, Guangya School at Luxehills International Community becomes the only examination site for AP programs in Chengdu city.

GSL: Guangya School at Luxehills International Community

GSL is a branch of Guangya School and is located in Luxehills International Community. It's a full-time non-boarding school that offers shuttle buses for the students. It includes a pre school, kindergarten, grades 1-6, middle school grades 7 and 9, and university preparation for grades 10-12.
